FTIE Families,

The Executive staff of First Tee - Inland Empire is closely monitoring the developments related to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation within our service area. We are receiving information from multiple organizations within the healthcare and public safety industries. This includes information from the California Department of Public Health, the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, and school districts in our service area. These departments receive daily updates from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention regarding the effect of the virus across the United States.

We're really excited that programming can begin, with increased health precautions according to the latest guidance. Coaches and students will be wearing masks and staying at least six feet apart. Temperature checks will be regularly used and class sizes will be limited to avoid crowding. Our staff will be meeting weekly to make adjustments to health guidance, programming schedules, and other planned chapter activities. We will continue to post updates on our website, on our social media platforms, and will communicate with parents through email regarding schedule changes. We will do everything possible to provide a full season of classes and other activities.

We encourage parents to remain diligent in their preventative efforts with participants. In addition to recommended hygiene practices, we suggest parents clean the grips of participants' golf clubs after usage, with household cleaning sprays or disinfecting wipes. If you have any additional questions please email Executive Director Pamela Tyler: [email protected].
